What is Jog on Dementia?

Jog on Dementia is a marathon challenge with a twist bought to you by Alzheimer's Society. Jog, walk or run 26.2 miles in a month and raise £100 to help beat dementia.

You can complete the challenge in 4 hours, 4 days or 4 weeks, it's totally up to you! The finish time doesn’t matter. It’s about raising money to help change lives.

Raise £100

£100 means our National Dementia Helpline team can be there for 8 people this year. This lifeline is open seven days a week for anybody who needs us.

Raise £100 or more to receive your Jog on Dementia medal to celebrate your achievement!

Raise £250

£250 can pay for 100 microlitres of a special chemical that is applied to brain tissue, allowing researchers to study how brain cells are affected by the disease.

Raise £500

£500 supports 4,000 visitors to Talking Point, our online community where people can ask questions, share experiences and get practical tips on living with dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society and dementia

20 people develop dementia every hour. By 2021, one million will be living with it. Dementia doesn’t discriminate, it hits families hard and currently there’s no cure. Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer’s Society is here for everyone affected by dementia. Wherever they are, whatever they’re going through.

As the UK’s leading dementia charity, we work tirelessly to improve treatment and support. We’re creating a more dementia-friendly society so that people with dementia can live free of fear and prejudice. Through our ground-breaking research, we can and we will find a cure. Let’s take on dementia, together. Unite with us to fight dementia. And win.
